ATTENTION CHEO MEMBERS

CHEO NEEDS YOUR HELP

CHEO has been offering programs on complementary health care education for over 14 years. The programs have been well received and well attended. CHEO is a non- profit organization and is run solely by VOLUNTEERS.

CHEO’s bylaws indicates a Board Member may only serve 6 years and must then take a year break. Our Board is supposed to have at least 6 members but no more than 12 members. Currently we are working with 6 Board members.

Due to COVID restrictions the CHEO Officers elected to temporarily override our bylaws and extend the time a Board Member could serve during the restricted time. Some of our Board Members have served over 7 years. Currently, most are responsible for two or more key responsibilities to keep CHEO going, because we don’t have enough board members and volunteers.

We need committee chairs and volunteers for membership, marketing, IT/website, programs and more. Any CHEO member can serve on a committee. You do not have to be a Board member to be on a committee. It is up to you to determine how much time you can devote to volunteering.

Election of Board Members will be during our October 2023 program meeting.

We ask that you consider becoming a Board Member or a volunteer. CHECK US OUT! Under the “Upcoming Event” section on our website, we post when our next Board meeting will be. We hold the meetings using zoom. We encourage you to attend one of the meetings to see what volunteering for CHEO is all about.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like to attend a Board meeting, please contact one of the board members. Or - you can send an email via the CHEOknox.org website to let us know you are interested. Or - you may complete a volunteer form on the website. Or - we will have the paper volunteer forms at our programs.

PLEASE VOLUNTEER.
